TWAICE’s battery analytics platform helps customers reduce risks with in-depth health, safety, and warranty analytics, and provides better operations & lifetime analysis. To provide such analytics, we ingest sensor data from energy storages and electric vehicles from all over the world. In the previous year, we needed to scale our platform to handle the data from an ever-increasing customer base. To achieve these goals, we leverage synergies across independent solution teams, while making sure that we can still work independently on our data products, analytics, and services. In this talk, you will learn about how we restructured our platform by introducing Databricks with Delta Tables, Delta Live Tables, Spark Streaming, etc, and how we migrated to the new architecture. You will also learn about the ideas borrowed from the Lakehouse and Data Mesh approaches, what worked well and where workarounds were needed to build the platform.
